Job Overview:
We are currently experiencing a critical network outage due to a failure of the core switch (uscbwe02.chep.com), which is impacting site-wide connectivity. Immediate on-site support is required to diagnose, troubleshoot, and restore network services. We are seeking a qualified Field Engineer who can respond promptly and perform hands-on technical support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform on-site troubleshooting of network infrastructure and switch-related issues
  • Diagnose connectivity problems and restore network services efficiently
  • Coordinate with remote support teams if required
  • Ensure minimal downtime and rapid resolution of the outage

Requirements:
The Field Engineer must be equipped with the following:

  • Personal Protective Equipment – Mandatory:
    • Hard hat
    • High-visibility jacket
    • Safety boots
  • Technical & Equipment Requirements:
    • Reliable internet connection (for remote coordination)
    • Laptop with console software (e.g., PuTTY) and appropriate drivers
    • USB flash drive (4–8 GB, empty and available for formatting if required)
    • Console cables (RJ45-to-USB, USB-C, and mini-USB)
    • Ethernet cables (various lengths)
