Job Title: Junior Penetration Tester
Location: Reston

Key Responsibilities:
● Assist in conducting vulnerability assessments and security testing on networks, systems, and applications using various tools and techniques.
● Support the penetration testing team in simulating attacks to identify potential security weaknesses. Document and report findings to the cybersecurity team.
● Help analyze security incidents and assess the impact of identified vulnerabilities. Participate in root cause analysis and recommend mitigation strategies.
● Gain hands-on experience with industry-standard cybersecurity tools to identify and assess vulnerabilities.
● Prepare and document detailed reports of testing results, including identified vulnerabilities, potential risks, and recommendations for remediation.
● Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and best practices. Participate in research projects aimed at improving the company’s security posture.
● Work closely with senior security analysts, developers, and IT teams to understand security requirements and contribute to the overall security strategy.
Requirements:
● Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
● Basic understanding of cybersecurity concepts, including network security, encryption, firewalls, and intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS).
● Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, Linux), networking protocols, and web application security.
● Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
● Attention to detail and a keen interest in identifying security weaknesses.
